VEREAD seminar - Methodology of Research in Religious Studies

March – June 2025

The VEREAD (Virtual Exchange for Religious Education and Dialogue) project is inviting scholars and students to participate in the upcoming seminar: Methodology of Research in Religious Studies for an Interdisciplinary Approach, which will be held between March and June via zoom.

This seminar aims to equip students with interdisciplinary tools from critical-historical and theological methodologies to study religion.
It emphasizes the interpretive approach in both disciplines, training students to be systematic interpreters.
It also explores how historical and theological knowledge is applied in practice and examines the contributions of post-colonial African theology and African feminist perspectives to religious studies.

Organized by the Fondazione per le Scienze Religiose (FSCIRE) in collaboration with the Theologische Universiteit Appeldoorn (TUA) in Netherlands, the Kenyatta University (KU) in Kenya, and the Makerere University (MAK) in Uganda, this seminar aims to equip the students with a strong methodological foundation in the critical-historical study of religion, emphasizing the analysis and contextualization of sources.

For registration, which is charge-freecargnelutti@fscire.it

Deadline: April 4th, 2025.
