On the occasion of the G20 of religions, jazz musician and multifaceted artist Dickie Landry brought to Italy for the first time his “
Mass for a Pentecost Sunday”, commissioned in 1987 by Dominique De Menil for the opening of his art collection, "The Menil Collection" in Houston, where it was premiered at the Rothko Chapel on June 4 of that year.This film tells the story of a world premiere outside the U.S., but also something about Landry and his country. Dickie Landry's "Cecilia story," from Louisiana to Bologna and back, passing through a library where he rehearsed his Mass for Pentecost Sunday, dedicated to Russ.
