A Study Of Eschatology In Late Ottoman Arabia: The Sharif Hussein Revolt 1916-1918
Education, academic and professional experience
Since November 2023, he has been a DREST doctoral student in the Islam curriculum at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. His research focuses on apocalypticism and the Arab Revolt of 1916–1918.
In 2022, he obtained a Master's degree in Diplomacy and International Studies from Al Akhawayn University, with a thesis titled Gaps in Religious Understanding as a Cause for Violent Islamist Radicalisation, which explores the epistemology of extremism.
From February to December 2021, he worked as a Teaching Assistant to Prof. Stephen Trevathan in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane (MO). Concurrently, from September to December 2021, he was also a Teaching Assistant to Prof. Djallil Lounnas for the International Relations course.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government, Philosophy, from Augustana College in Illinois (USA) in 2020. His thesis, From CT to CVE to Immunization: A Paradigm Shift Towards an Ideological Vaccine, examines evolving approaches to countering violent extremism.
From January to May 2020, he was an internal researcher at the Near East South Asia council of overseas school (NESA), for the Center for Strategic Studies under the U.S. Department of Defense.
