Formazione ed esperienza accademica e professionale
È ricercatrice postdoc all’Institute of Languages and Cultures of the Mediterranean CSIC (ILC) di Madrid.
Direttrice della rivista «Hesperia: Culturas del Mediterráneo» e membro del comitato editoriale di «Les Chroniques du manuscrit au Yémen».

Laureatasi nel 2008 in filologia araba con inglese come seconda lingua, nel 2014 ha conseguito il dottorato europeo all’Università Complutense di Madrid (UCM) nel programma di studi arabi e andalusi, con una tesi sulla dottrina giuridica islamica sull’usura (La usura (RIBA) en el occidente islámico medieval a través de las fuentes jurídicas) con la supervisione di Maribel Fierro (CSIC) e Juan Martos (UCM). Da allora, ha contribuito a tre progetti di ricerca, due dei quali vincitori degli Advanced grants del European Research Council, e uno finanziato dal CSIC.
